The National Citizens Committee has given 9 instructions for forming the committee at the police station level. Nasir Uddin Patwari, convener of the National Citizens Committee posted about this on his Facebook profile on Saturday (November 2).
The instructions are-
1. All police station level committees of the National Citizens Committee will be known as 'Representative Committees'.
2. All members of the representative committee will be known as police representatives.
3. The convening committee shall be constituted within 60 days of the formation of each representative committee.
4. The minimum number of members of District level Thana Committee will be 21 members and Metropolitan Thana Committee will be minimum 31 members.
5. At least 25 percent of women, 5 percent of families of martyrs or wounded insurgents, 5 percent of minorities, 5 percent of farmers, working class and all local ethnic groups should be represented in all committees. All the criteria must be fulfilled to be converted from the representative committee to the convening committee.
6. Above all, teachers, lawyers, writers, doctors, engineers, journalists, housewives and religious leaders should coordinate young (under 50) leadership.
7. The Panchashorda Honorary Citizens will work with the National Citizens Committee through an advisory committee.
8. In case of police station level committee should be a resident of said police station.
9. No participant or beneficiary of Awami fascism can be in the committee. The spirit of rebellion must be contained.
Incidentally, on the day of its debut, the National Citizens' Committee announced the provision of Citizens' Committees up to the union level including all neighborhoods. In that light, they are holding meetings and seminars to form committees.
