Bin Yamin Mollah, president of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, has demanded that Awami League and Chhatra League be banned within the next 24 hours. He made this demand in a press conference at Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University on Wednesday (October 23). Yamin has also told the legal advisor and home affairs advisor to resign if they cannot ban Chhatra League and Awami League.
Bin Yamin Mollah said in the press conference, you know that we have been agitating to ban Awami League and Chhatra League since the fall of the government. The Chhatra League, an organ of the fascist Hasina government, has attacked us several times. Thousands of our leaders and activists were jailed and brutally tortured before the elections.
Pointing out that Awami propaganda still remains in the country's cooking, he said, this morning they gave slogans like 'Jai Bangla, Jai Bangabandhu' and Chhatra League in a militant style at Madhur canteen. It will be seen that after a few days they will rise again. Those who have shown this audacity should be identified and brought under the law within two days. We want to see Chhatra League and Awami League banned within the next 24 hours.
He also said that President Sahabuddin Chuppu is starting jokes with the people of the country. We want to see the president resign in two days.
