The relatives of the student confirmed this information to Jago News on Tuesday (November 19) evening.
Injured student Shahinur Akhter said that three girlfriends brought lunch in a tiffin box from home on Monday and kept it in the school library. During tiffin she smells poison while eating food from tiffin box. At the same time his girlfriend Meem and Munni also opened the tiffin box and smelled the poison. Then they did not eat the rice. A few of Shaheenu's people fell ill after eating it. Later, teachers and classmates rescued him and admitted him to Chandina Upazila Health Complex.
He also said that some students of the school have been talking to two teachers of the same school for some time now. Disturbed by throwing stones from behind.
Shahinur Akhtar's mother Akalima Akhtar said that this incident in the school is very sad. He demanded a fair and exemplary trial of this incident.
The head teacher of the school. Ibrahim Khalil said that the students brought the food from home. Private has also read about them. Now it is not possible to say exactly where the poison came from in that food. Besides, we have taken the food items to Comilla Medical College Hospital for testing. But the doctors on duty said that the test is not done there. They suggested to test in Dhaka and Chittagong. He also said that it will be taken to the laboratory to confirm whether the rice was poisoned or not.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Arifur Rahman said, we are treating that student as a patient of poisoning. However, it is not possible to say anything without the food lab test. This can be confirmed through experiments.
