Currently there are 1 lakh 5 thousand 5 people in different classes of different classes. Of these, 2 lakh 5 thousand 5 people with speech and hearing impaired. There are 5 government schools in the country for their training and employment. That is, there is only one training and employment -based public school for every 12 thousand 5 people. However, some of the other schools are being operated across the country at the private level.
The image came up on Friday at the National Disability Development Foundation premises in Agargaon, the capital, on the occasion of the celebration of Bangla Ishara Language Day-2021. This year's theme of the day is 'Ek Bhuban is a language, I want a public gesture'. The chief guest on the occasion was Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Advisor Sharmin S Murshid.
Sharmin S Murshid said, “It is important to take target -based activities by providing advice, education and training to the hearing and speech -affiliates. So far more than 5 million people with disabilities have been identified in the country. Among them, 1 lakh 5 thousand 5 people are impaired and the hearing -impaired person is 1 lakh 12 thousand 122. Six public schools are being operated in the country for education and employment of speech and hearing impaired. '
Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare Dr. Md. Vijay Krishna Debnath, Managing Director of the National Disability Development Foundation, presided over the meeting chaired by Mohiuddin. It was informed that the government allowance was being given to 12 lakh 3 thousand disabled persons. And 1 lakh disabled students have been covered under education ellipse. Six training and rehabilitation centers are currently operating in six departments of the country to achieve the rehabilitation and self -reliance of socially neglected disabled girls. Through these centers, girls with socially harassed speech and hearing disabilities are also being covered under social security enclosure.
Teachers of the National Disability Development Foundation and Special Education Center and students of Speech and hearing were present on the occasion.
