Jack Smith has fought against Trump for so long in the US court with two cases. Trump has been claiming innocence in both cases. Smith said in an application to the court on Monday that if Trump becomes president after winning the election, according to the rules of the US Department of Justice, the case against him must be dismissed.
Donald Trump won the presidential election on November 5. He is going to sit in the White House for the second term on January 20. He will serve as the President of the United States for the next four years. Justice Tanya Chutkan said the case against him for trying to change the results of the election can be resumed.
