A student of Chittagong University (CHB) was picked up by the miscreants and beaten severely. However, it is not yet known who did the beating. The victim student also does not know the identity of the attackers. The incident happened on Friday (November 8) around 9 pm.
The name of the victim student is Nurul Kabir Saad. He is a third year student of Department of Geography and Ecology, Chabir.
It is known that the miscreants took the student with his face tied in front of the security office of the university. He was later taken to a secluded area behind the biology faculty and beaten up. The Proctorial Body rescued him from the Faculty of Biology and first took him to Chubby Medical. Later he was sent to Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital for X-ray.
In this incident, the students protested by hanging the lock on the main gate of Zero Point. After keeping the gate closed for an hour, they opened the lock with a one-day ultimatum on the assurance of the proctorial body.
It is said that the victim student used to live in Suhrawardy Hall as an activist of Chhabi Chhatra League's sub-group Vijay. Rob Hall currently resides as an Elotted student. However, the victim Saad has been claimed by the university branch student body as their own workers.
KM Ataul Gani, the doctor in charge of Chabi Medical, said that the student was brought here around 10 pm. There were injury marks on the right leg. Besides, there was a swelling on the back, a sign of injury. There were no head or chest injuries. Chamek was sent to hospital for an X-ray of the leg.

It is not normal for terrorists to pick up a student and beat him up. We demand that those involved in this incident be quickly identified and brought under the law.
University Assistant Proctor Nazmul Hossain said that the injured student has been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for better treatment. The Vice-Chancellor said that he will sit with the proctor on Thursday (9 November). The culprits will be found and brought to justice.
