The declaration of unity of the political parties


Although there are differences in views and ideals, the political parties have said to be united in protecting the sovereignty, existence, freedom and dignity of the country and against propaganda and incitement. On Wednesday, the interim government's chief adviser, the Nobel Peace Prize winner. The leaders of the political parties made such a promise in the dialogue with Muhammad Yunus.

The dialogue started at 4 pm and ended at 7:30 pm at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital. Various political parties including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami participated in this dialogue with the chief advisor to establish national unity to solve the ongoing crisis of the country. Some of the leaders who participated in the dialogue said that everyone pledged to unite for the sake of the country.

In the opening speech of the dialogue, the chief adviser drew the attention of the political parties in the light of the ongoing situation. Addressing the leaders of the parties, he said, 'Fiction is being propagated to erase free and independent new Bangladesh after the student uprising. Those who didn't like the coup, wanted to wipe it out. They are trying again and again. The effort that is going on now has a special form. Calling you specially for that.'

Dr. Yunus said, 'Now we have to tell the whole world that we are one. What we got, we got together. I did not get into any disagreement. I did not push anyone. We have thrown out those who were pressing on our chest.' He urged the political parties to create national unity.

Apart from BNP, Jamaat, Nagrik Oikya, Biplabli Workers Party of Bangladesh, Ganasanhati Andolan, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), Bangladesh Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Bangladesh Jasad), National People's Party (NPP), Communist Party of Bangladesh, National Democratic Movement (NDM), Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis, Bangladesh Khilafat Movement, My Bangladesh Party (AB Party), Public Rights Council participated in the dialogue. It is reported that Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed came but could not enter as his name was not on the guest list.

After the dialogue, Legal Adviser Asif Nazrul told the reporters that despite the differences in opinions and ideals, everyone has declared to be united on the question of protecting the sovereignty, existence, independence and dignity of Bangladesh. This was the main theme of the dialogue. He said, 'Everyone has said that we can no longer feel powerless, bowed down, weak. We will stand united against any kind of propaganda and incitement and we will keep our unity intact. If there is such propaganda in the future, if provocation comes, we will deal with it with unity.'

Professor Asif Nazrul said that as the entire nation is united against propaganda, a proposal has been made on whether a rally can be held. The parties in the dialogue appreciated the bold role of the present government against anti-Bangladesh activities in India. At the same time, besides expecting a stronger role from the government, it is also suggested to seek the cooperation of Bangladesh's friendly countries and international media.

Regarding the discussion in the dialogue, this advisor also said that the political leaders also suggested to increase the communication and legal skills of the government in the dialogue. In the last 15 years during the tenure of the Awami League government, all the agreements signed by Bangladesh with India were demanded to be disclosed. At the same time, the agreements which have been harmful to Bangladesh, including Rampal, are demanded to be cancelled. India's economic oppression and attempts to establish cultural hegemony over Bangladesh, its meddling in internal affairs were condemned. India was also urged to treat Bangladesh as a dignified neighbor.

The BNP delegation was led by Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, a member of the party's standing committee. Standing committee members Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and AZM Zahid Hossain were also present.

After the dialogue, Khandaker Musharraf told reporters, 'The chief adviser told us to create national unity. He will take appropriate action. All of us who were present agreed to establish national unity.' He said, 'The chief adviser has sought cooperation from the political parties to protect the existence of Bangladesh regarding the current situation of the country and the lies of the neighboring countries. We have agreed with the government that we will resist these conspiracies in the same way as we removed the fascist government through the student uprising.'

When asked whether there was any talk about the elections, this BNP leader said, 'This government is committed to return the rights of the people. As we said, give a roadmap for elections by completing reforms quickly. After getting the roadmap, the people will go towards elections, then no one will have the courage to do the conspiracies that are going on.'

Jamaat's Amir Shafiqur Rahman led the delegation in the dialogue. Naib Amir Mujibur Rahman, Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim were in the team. After the dialogue, the Amir of Jamaat told reporters, 'We are different in our party, but our path is the same. The way is to protect Bangladesh. We are united on the question of our independence and sovereignty. Here we will be united.' He said, 'We have proposed to discuss with everyone. After discussion with everyone, the national announcement will come from the government.

Mahmudur Rahman Manna, President of Nagorika Oikya said, 'We are united on the question of country and sovereignty. If someone thinks that there is a difference between us, it is not a difference. We may differ on political matters; But we are united on the question of sovereignty.'

Jonaid Saki, chief coordinator of Mass Solidarity Movement, said, 'We have said that we will stand with the national flag on one day as an expression of unity across the country. Maybe a decision will come quickly in this regard.'

Nurul Haque Noor of the People's Rights Council said that the government will seek an explanation to know whether the attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh and burning of the flag in Agartala is the Indian government's position or not. He said, 'Our proposal to face the challenge was to form a national government for the next two years with the members of the political parties and ban all kinds of gatherings for the next six months to create a stable situation. At the same time, as a reflection of unity, holding programs with the national flag or the flag of peace.

Khilafat Majlis Secretary General Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque said that all political parties have expressed their solidarity with the interim government's self-deprecating bold move against Indian attitude in dialogue. He said, it has been promised that all political parties will agree with any state action in future.
