Signal number 3 in seaport Amar Bangla BANGLADESH


Personal Correspondent: The low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal has developed into a cyclonic 'Dana'. Due to this, the coastal areas of Patuakhali are experiencing drizzle. In this situation, local warning signal number 3 has been issued in the sea ports.

Kalapara Upazila Disaster Management Officer. Asaduzzaman said, 175 government cyclone shelters of the upazila have been prepared to deal with cyclone 'Dana'. Sufficient quantity of dry food is stocked. 2,380 CPP members and enough other volunteers are ready for security of Janmal.


Patuakhali District Meteorological Officer Akhter Jahan said that cyclone 'Dana' is moving west-northwestwards and concentrated in the same area. It may move further west-northwestwards and intensify.


He further said that maximum sustained wind speed within 54 km of the cyclone center is 62 km per hour, increasing to 88 km per hour in the form of gusts or gusts. The sea is very rough in the vicinity of the cyclone center.
