Sarjis Alam, editor of Juli Shaheed Smriti Foundation and former coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, and 45 others have been inducted as central members of the National Citizens Committee.
This information was informed in a press release sent by the National Citizens Committee on Monday (November 25). Committee convener Nasiruddin Patwari and member secretary Akhtar Hossain approved this committee.
The following persons have been announced as 'central members' as part of the ongoing process of enlarging the Central Committee of the National Citizens' Committee with the aim of abolishing the fascist regime and implementing a new political arrangement and to uphold the spirit of the student-mass uprising, said a release signed by spokesperson Samantha Sharmin.
The newly joined members are — Sarjis Alam, Ali Ahsan Jonaid, Debashish Chakraborty, Mohammad Ejaz, Sheikh Tasnim Afroz Imi, Kailash Chandra Rabidas, Rafe Salman Rifat, Ushye Pru Marma, Umme Habiba Benazir, Mir Arshadul Haque, Ali Nacher Khan, Mamunur Rashid, Abu Saeed Leon, Saqib Mahdi, Zobairul Hasan Arif, Syeda Neelima Dola, Sharif Osman Hadi, Ali Ammar Muaz, Arefin Mohammad, Bhimpalli David Raju.
Also as members are—Agriculturist Golam Mortuza Salim, Sonamani Karmakar, Dr. Minhajul Abedin, Said Ujjal, Md. Burhan Uddin Noman, Md. Rakib Hossain, Md. Arifur Rahman (Tuhin), Rafid Bhuiyan, Zainal Abedin Shishir, Johnny Akand, Miaz Mehrab Talukder, Md. Naeem Ahmad, Sagar Barua, Plaban Tariq, M. Wali Ullah, Moshfiqur Rahman Johan, Sadia Farzana, Saifullah Haider, Mullah Mohammad Farooq Ehsan, Ehtesham Haque, Orni Semanti Khan, Mahbub Alam Mahir, Dr. Ashraful Alam Sumon and Duti Aranya Chowdhury.
