People may take to the streets if prices are not met: Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah

Hasnat Abdullah said, the anti-discrimination student movement has been uncompromising on the question of transparency, morality, truth and Bangladesh. The journey to freedom from fascism will not be successful until the fascist system is finally eradicated from this country. He said, 'Fascism, the judiciary, the new political arrangement – we cannot stomach these. When we go to the market and find the prices of things out of reach, when we have to sit in jams (traffic jams) for hours on the road, then subconsciously we have the impression that “we were good before”. Hasnat Abdullah termed the sudden increase in prices of goods and hours-long traffic jams as the 'ultimate plot' of fascism.

Sarjis Alam, another coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, said to the gathered students, 'I may be moving away from the spirit of the coup due to small differences, divisions and misunderstandings. Remember, our challenge is not over yet. The time to retain the spirit of the coup is not over.'
