Old man killed by motorcycle in Jamaat candidate showdown

In Satkhira-2 (Sadar-Debhata) constituency, an old man died after being hit by a motorcycle that took part in a huge showdown under the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami nominated parliamentary candidate and the party’s central organizational secretary Muhaddis Abdul Khalek.

The accident happened on Saturday (November 22) at noon in Badamtala Bazar area of ​​Alipur Union of Sadar Upazila.

Deceased Fajr Ali (73) resident of Karigar Para.

The deceased’s nephew Shamsuzzaman said that the uncle was an old man and was sick. Leave the house for prayer. He fell down when he was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road. When taken to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead. The funeral took place at 8 pm.

Local UP member of Alipur Union Iqbal Hossain said that Jamaat’s showdown car was going. At that time, Fajr Ali left for the mosque for prayers. He was injured when he was hit by Showdown’s car while crossing the road. He died on the way to the hospital.

General Secretary of Satkhira Sadar Upazila Jamaat Habibur Rahman said, Fajr Ali was a man and worker of our organization. Died after hitting the looking glass of the bike on the side of the road. His burial is over.

Mehdi Hasan, sub-inspector of Satkhira Sadar police station, said that old Fajr Ali died after being hit by a motorcycle and injured in various parts of his body including head. As there was no complaint from the family of the deceased, the body was handed over to the family.
