According to the notification, on Thursday (November 14) at around 5 pm, the President of a section of the Public Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor, along with a group of his associates and outsiders, tried to forcibly enter the main entrance gate of the International Criminal Tribunal with a procession shouting provocative and defamatory slogans from the Supreme Court premises. .
Later, Nurul Haque Noor held a press conference at the gate of the tribunal with his party workers, unable to enter the tribunal in the face of obstacles from the law and order forces. There he published in the media some baseless, fabricated, untrue and provocative allegations of meeting with Awami League and Jatiya Party against International Criminal Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam.
It is said in the notification that these false allegations made by him are intentionally spread in electronic and print media and social media. As a result of Nurul Haque Noor's statement, the status of International Criminal Tribunal and Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam has been greatly undermined.
“Such illegal activities of Nurul Haque Noor and her party workers appear to be completely uncalled for and conspiratorial. His obstinate activities included influencing and obstructing the trial process of the July-August genocide and crimes against humanity. On behalf of the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal, Nurul Haque Noor and his party workers strongly condemn and protest this illegal and conspiratorial act.
Such activities in personal interest regarding the restructured International Criminal Tribunal and the learned Chief Prosecutor for the trial process of two thousand murders and torture of half a million brothers and sisters in this new Bangladesh achieved through the July revolution are unintended and unacceptable. The notification also informed that appropriate legal action will be taken against Nurul Haque Noor if he does not retract his baseless, untrue and mischievous statement and apologize.
