BNP supports Yunus's government. But Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has criticized this government for increasing the prices of daily necessities. In an event in Dhaka's Pallavi on Wednesday, he said, 'Sheikh Hasina used to syndicate Awami League people. Now there is no such syndicate in the market. So why are the prices of goods increasing?'
This BNP leader also alleged that the interim government has taken a 'lax' attitude in terms of reforms. He said, 'There is a loose feeling somewhere. It won't go on like this.' He also said that if the interim government has 'evil intentions', then they will start the agitation again.
Yunus said that elections will be held in Bangladesh only after reforms in various fields. But Rizvi demanded immediate democratic politics and speedy elections. He also claimed that the people there could not vote until now. This BNP leader claimed, 'If the interim government prolongs the elections in the name of reforms, then people will be suspicious.'
Rizvi also raised questions as to why the date of possible elections is not being fixed there. He also said that it will not be good for the government if there is any fuss about reforms and elections.
