Main Problem of Panchagarh Tea Quality: Tea Board Chairman

The chairman of the tea board said, 'The leaves required for tea production in Panchagarh are not being collected due to the lack of knowledge of the farmers here. In this the quality of tea is being compromised more.' Regarding the fair price of tea leaves, he said, 'Farmers should get fair price. If the farmers provide quality leaves, they will definitely get more than the current price. In order to get their fair price, any impact of the syndicate here should be prevented and the factory owners should be convinced to pay the fair price. If we can fix these three stakeholders, then the overall tea sector will be better.'

Major General Sheikh Md assured to investigate if there is a syndicate in the tea industry of Panchagarh. Sarwar Hossain said, 'If any syndicate is functional here, then we will take necessary steps on how to prevent the activities of the syndicates. Apart from this, if there is something like this, I will give the necessary instructions to the factories within the rules.
