It is the duty of political parties to deal with those injured in the coup: Nahid Islam

Adviser of Post Telecommunications and Information Technology and Information and Broadcasting commented that it is the duty of the political parties to work with the injured in the July-August coup. Nahid Islam.

He said these things after the meeting of six advisors with the injured students in the July-August coup in the conference room of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the Secretariat on Thursday (November 14) evening.

Youth and Sports and Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan was present on the occasion.

When asked why the injured had to go down the road, whether it was a lack of coordination, the advisor said. Nahid Islam said, 'It is absolutely undesirable. But the wounded and martyrs—they are not only related to the government. They are related to the state and the nation. It is the duty of every citizen of the country to respect and honor them. It is being done by the current government. But what we are seeing is less focus on political talk and talk and in the media.'

The advisor also said, 'There was no government directive issue here. It is the political duty of the political parties to work with the martyrs and the injured. After all it is our national duty. Let no one neglect this duty. Only the present government can ensure their privileges. We all have this belief. That is what they want again and again. Because election is called political talk, which is creating a kind of mistrust among everyone.'

Nahid Islam also said, “When the issue of martyrs and injured people should have been discussed at the national level, everyone is trying to blame the government and others are trying to talk about elections and such and such.” So I would like to appeal to everyone – let us all focus on the martyred family and their families, including the injured, from public and private places.'

Regarding the treatment of the injured, Nahid said, 'A time line given today – an outline will be given in five working days. We want to implement the short term decisions by next December. At the same time initiatives will begin with long-term decisions.

Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Dr. Saidur Rahman said, 'how many activities have been taken today. Among them, those who were injured in the uprising – for their short and long-term rehabilitation, the initiatives that will be taken by various ministries of the government and various private foundations and institutions will be coordinated, and all kinds of treatment, rehabilitation and employment arrangements will be made for the injured with respect for life.'

In the meeting held earlier, Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum, Social Welfare Advisor Sharmin S. Murshid, Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhter, Advisor Mahfuz Alam, Postal Telecommunications and Information Technology and Information and Broadcasting Advisor Md. Nahid Islam, Youth and Sports and Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan were present.
