Bhumi advisor AF Hasan Arif feels that it is not right to point fingers against the party for the crimes of individuals. He said, 'It is not right for any criminal to point fingers against any organization or any party or any group.'
He said this in a discussion meeting organized at Chittagong Circuit House on Wednesday afternoon.
Hasan Arif said, 'If a person has committed terrorist acts, that person will be responsible for him. His social identity, political identity, religious identity or anything else will not come forward. According to the law, he has to serve the punishment he deserves.'
About Chinmoy Krishna, he said, 'The organization with which he (Chinmoy Krishna) is said to be associated, has denied him. They have also issued a press release in this regard. I also had an exchange of views with the heads of their organization in Dhaka.
Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, 'Since August 5, peace and order was maintained, that order was disrupted through terrorist activities in the name of religion. I talked about clean city while taking oath. I didn't talk about cleaning the drains and sewers that day. I want to say, Chittagong city will be safe for everyone. Irrespective of caste and creed will be safe here. There will be no extortion, no terrorists, no riots. Very saddened by the way Alif was killed yesterday (Tuesday). I went to see him in the hospital. He is executed in a very brutal, medieval manner. So I think whoever commits any terrorist act in the name of religion or caste should be given the maximum punishment.'
At that time Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Hasib Aziz, Chittagong District Commissioner Farida Khanam, Hasnat Abdullah, Central Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Sarjis Alam, Russell Ahmed were present.
