India-China relations have started to thaw

But despite a compromise agreement, several serious concerns remain. First, as political analyst Brahm Chelani observes, when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan within days of the deal's announcement, their ministries issued very different statements. While India described the agreement as a step towards a 'multi-polar Asia and a multi-polar world', China referred to it simply as a 'multi-polar world' agreement. The subtle but clear hint in these words of China is that Asia is under China's control.

China's activities along the LAC clearly indicate that they want to keep India destabilized. They are taking steps to change the border, which favors China's interests.

We need to remember how the last standoff between India and China over Bhutan's Doklam plateau ended. India does not claim ownership of Doklam; But supports Bhutan's claim. China again rejected this demand of Bhutan.
