The Jatiya Party (Japa) has once again focused on the tenth national conference. The leaders of the first row of the party have been divided into various issues including organizing the conference, reducing the chairman's power, financial transparency. The division between them was further evident around the June 23 conference.
It is reported that the Jatiya Party is now divided into two sides. On one side is the party chairman Golam Mohammad Quader (GM Quader) and his followers, the other party's senior co-chairman Anisul Islam Mahmud, co-chairman ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, secretary general Mujibul Haque Chunnu and a top leaders. The chairman claims that the anti -GM Quader is not trying to convene in fear of losing leadership. But they do not want to break the party; Rather, the chairman wants to continue the pressure for the conference.
Jatiya Party leaders say the party's tenth national conference was supposed to be held on June 27 at the Bangladesh-China-Friendly International Conference Center. But GM Quader announced the suspension of the conference on June 5, citing that the auditorium was not allotted. The party's senior co-chairman Anisul Islam Mahmud and co-chairman ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader went to the chairman's decision. At one point, they convened a separate conference in Kakrail, the party's central office. Later, when the followers of GM Quader announced the rally there, Anisul Islam Mahmud decided not to do the council to avoid conflict. In these cases, the party leaders and activists have created a difference. Uncertainty has arisen about the political future of the party.
The top leaders of Japan commented that the postponement of the conference is a reflection of the leadership of leadership. Article 25/1/A of the party's constitution has given the chairman the power through which he can expel any leader or promote, and promises. For this reason, senior leaders led by Anisul Islam Mahmud and Ruhul Amin Howlader have demanded the abolition of the section and the power of the Presidium. Leaders complain that the chairman has been using this section for a long time.
Multiple top level leaders involved with the party have said that for a long time, GM Quader's leadership is questionable in the leadership group. The chairman has been accused of making various decisions without the consent of the Presidium, undermine the democratic practice of the party and voluntarily. For these reasons most of the party leaders have taken a stand against the chairman. After the July coup, the party's intimacy with the Awami League and the anti -government position of GM Quader have made the party politically more corrupt.
Leaders in favor of the leadership change in the party say there have already been multiple cases against the top leaders of the party, including GM Quader. If GM Quader is led, the situation in the front party may be worse. They even said that there would be doubts about participating in the elections. So they are trying to create the party leadership by keeping GM Quader out.
Anisul Islam Mahmud, the senior co-chairman of the party, told today's newspaper, “We told the 'A' of the 20, if the party is in the constitution, the party becomes its own property. He (the chairman) will say what he says against him, no one needs to get any approval, no party can be made. This is the king's power, we told us to change. Barrister Shamim Haider Patwari, a member of the Presidium of the Jatiya Party, said, “No place of the council can never be determined without the consent of the chairman. It is in our constitution. The chairman will preside over the council meeting. It is also in our constitution. These issues were not discussed. We will call the meeting again and talk about the council again. Besides, if we do not have any security problems subject to getting the hallroom, we are definitely interested in council in a short time. '
In the context of the 'autocratic' section of the constitution, this Japa leader said that such a clause has been long ago, not too much work under this section. If the Presidium Meeting cannot be held in an emergency, this 'Expert Softines Power' has the chairman, which is rarely used.
