Law and order forces have arrested three people including the main accused in the case of killing a housewife named Ayesha Akhter in Bauniabandh slum of Pallabir in the capital. They were arrested in raids in Dhaka and Gazipur in the last three days.
The arrested persons are Md. Momin (35), Al Islam (25) and Nasiruddin 28. According to the police, Momin is the head of an extortion gang. That day Ayesha Akhtar was shot dead by her team members.
Momin was arrested last Thursday midnight by a joint team of RAB-1 and RAB-4 in Uttarpara of Gacha police station in Gazipur. Earlier, Al Islam and Nasir were arrested in a raid in Pallabi area of ​​the capital last Wednesday night.
