The International Crimes (Tribunal) Act was enacted in 1973 to prosecute crimes against humanity committed in 1971. The trial process of crimes against humanity, including murder and genocide committed during the student-crowd movement last July-August, has already started in the International Criminal Tribunal. The current interim government took the initiative to amend the law to bring transparency in the judicial process.
