Former US Vice President supports the reform initiative of Bangladesh


Former Vice President of the United States Al Gore Thursday (January 23) in Davos chief adviser. During the meeting with Muhammad Yunus, he supported the reform initiative of Bangladesh.

Al Gore, known as the world's leading climate change activist, met Professor Yunus on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum meeting in the Swiss mountain town.

They discussed the July uprising, how to mitigate the effects of climate change and global warming, reform initiatives undertaken by the interim government, and elections and geopolitical issues.

This former US Vice President supported Bangladesh's institutions and its democratic transition through free and fair elections. He also praised the Global Three Zero movement initiated by Professor Yunus to combat carbon emissions, poverty and unemployment.

Dr. Yunus hands over a copy of The Art of Triumph, a famous art book on graffiti and murals painted during the July uprising. Al Gore praised this 'wonderful' book and the revolutionary spirit of the Bangladeshi youth.
