Formation of district committee of anti-discrimination student movement started, first committee in Kushtia


The notification mentions that this convening committee has been approved for the next six months in Kushtia district. Announced as the convener of this committee, the student of Kushtia Government College. Hasibur Rahman, Member Secretary Kushtia Polytechnic Institute. Mostafizur Rahman. Islami University student MD Belal Hossain became the chief organizer of the committee and Pervez Musharraf of the same university was made the spokesperson. Apart from this, 10 people have been appointed as joint conveners, 11 people as joint member secretaries, 7 people as organizers and 79 people as members in the committee.

On July 1, the anti-discrimination student movement started a continuous movement demanding quota reforms in government jobs. This movement eventually turned into a student uprising. Awami League's long rule ended in that movement. The anti-discrimination student movement formed a coordinating team of 65 members on July 8 to manage the movement. Later on August 3, it was increased to 158 members.
