Films will be made in eight regions of the country about the July coup. For this purpose eight directors have been selected by the Ministry of Culture Affairs. Mustafa Saryar Faruqi, Advisor to the Ministry of Culture, gave this information at a press conference on Tuesday.
The directors are – Anam Biswas, Humaira Bilquis, Nuhash Humayun, Shankh Das Gupta, Shaheen Dil Riaz, Rabiul Alam Ravi, Akhadimah Afrin Mou and Mohammad Tawfir Islam.
The Ministry of Culture said in a circular that the people of Bangladesh are now breathing freely after the July coup, an artistic commentary of which is expected to be seen in these films.
This filmmaking process will engage a large community outside Dhaka with the art process and explore a new interpretation of art culture through film in this post-coup era.
