Facebook posts claiming that the Special Security Force (SSF) Director General had sheltered accused Ali Hussain Shishir in his apartment were fabricated, the Press Wing of the Chief Adviser Facts said.
On Saturday (January 18), quoting an SSF spokesperson, they said that Hossain pretended to be the owner of a garment factory in Narsingdi and rented DG's flat. Said, 'A valid tenancy agreement was signed with him on a valid postage stamp.'
The SSF spokesperson said there was no question of sheltering the accused in his house. When the police came to arrest him on January 18 around 3:30 pm, the DG took him and asked him to take necessary action as per law. The posts are completely fake. A planned attempt to tarnish the image of SSF DG and Bangladesh Army without any investigation. The spokesperson also said that this is an irresponsible act.
