According to the directive signed by Zahirul Haque, officer of the political-2 wing of the Ministry of Home Affairs' Public Security Department, strict monitoring will be done to see if anyone makes comments on social media that hurt religious sentiments. It also said that patrolling will be increased to normalize the law and order situation. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Home Affairs Advisor last Tuesday. Several decisions have been taken there. In view of that, these guidelines have been issued on Wednesday.
It has already been informed that several restrictions have to be observed during Durga Puja this year. Puja musical instruments and microphones have been ordered to be turned off during Azan and Namaz. It is also alleged that several hardline Islamist organizations have issued multiple threats against the puja. Even so, the home affairs advisor claimed that puja can be done peacefully there. He also said that adequate security arrangements are being made for this.
This time, on the occasion of Durga Puja, a set of instructions have been issued to keep the law and order situation normal across the country. It has been informed that police, RAB, Ansar and Village Defense Force members will strengthen patrolling to maintain law and order situation during Durga Puja. All measures will be taken to prevent any untoward incident. Social media will also be monitored to ensure that no one spreads offensive or offensive statements or rumours.
It has been informed that the Pujamandap will be guarded at all times. There will be a guard there at night too. It has also been informed that arrangements will be made to install CC cameras in every worship hall. Along with this, a monitoring committee will be formed with local dignitaries and students for the security of the mandap.
