A student of the hall defaced the face of Begum Rokeya graffiti on the front wall of Shamsunnahar Hall of Dhaka University with black paint spray. Later, he apologized to the principal after admitting his mistake.
This incident happened on Tuesday (November 19) afternoon. Later, the accused called the female student to the hall principal's office. Later, the female student admitted the mistake and apologized.
Nasreen Sultana, principal of Shamsun Nahar Hall, told the media about the matter, 'We called the student. A psychologist was with him. We got some incoherent conversations while talking to the girl. After talking, the girl realizes her mistake and apologizes. He assured not to do any such work in future. He also promised to restore the graffiti to its original state.'
