In the meeting, the Chief Adviser spoke about the mass uprising and the reform initiatives undertaken by the interim government. The Grand Imam hoped that the reform process of Bangladesh would be successful.
He praised Professor Yunus for his leadership, his social service, Grameen Bank's pioneering role as a micro-lender and his lifelong efforts to fight poverty.
Professor Yunus expressed his gratitude to Al-Azhar University and presented 'The Art of Triumph', a collection of colorful and diverse graffiti paintings painted by students on the walls of the capital Dhaka during the anti-discrimination student movement in Bangladesh last July-August.
The Grand Imam praised the artistic skills of Bangladeshi students. He also praised the merit of the Bangladeshi students studying at Al-Azhar University to the Chief Adviser.
