In the video, a woman is seen being pushed by some people on the road. A netizen claimed that the victim's name is Shikharani Roy. He teaches in a government school in Muradnagar, Comilla, Bangladesh. Bilal, the headmaster of that school, was pressuring him to resign for a few days. But he did not agree. He was severely harassed for this and some extremists took him to the streets to beat him up.

The video of the incident was shared on social media by a group of Bangladeshi minorities. Their anger, after the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, persecution of minorities in Bengal has increased. It has been alleged that around 50 Hindu teachers in Bangladesh were forced to resign from August 5. An organization called 'Bangladesh Chhatra Oikya Parishad' presented these statistics. Barisal's government Bakirganj College principal Shukla Roy was surrounded and forced to resign last month.
