Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, 'Interim government has taken various steps to conduct Durga Puja smoothly and peacefully. Eight-point instructions have been sent to every pujomandap by the ministry on what kind of measures to take for security.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Police said on their Facebook page that Bangladesh Police has taken adequate security measures to celebrate Durga Puja in a safe, peaceful and festive environment. It also advises the puja organizers about the security measures to be taken.
According to the police, everyone should be careful so that no one can spread rumors on social media and destroy religious harmony and social peace. It has been suggested to inform the police immediately if you notice anything about this. It has also been asked to provide separate entry and exit routes for women and men at the Pujomandap. It has also been asked to keep an eye so that you cannot enter the pujomandap with bags, bags or anything suspicious.
Along with this, it has also been said to install CCTV cameras and fire extinguishers in the mandap and archway gate in the important puja mandap. Bangladesh Police has also advised to ensure that no one uses fireworks during Puja. Adequate lighting at the time of visarana and use of fixed route of procession are also suggested as in Mandapa.
Also, the organizers have to hire volunteers for the security of the pujomandap. Apart from this, several numbers including toll free numbers have been provided to keep regular contact with the police.
