In the light of the judgment of the Chamber Court, DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali said, from now on, no auto-rickshaws will ply on the main road. However, these vehicles will run on inner roads as before.
Besides, the commissioner urged everyone to be careful so that no new auto-rickshaws enter the streets of the capital.
He gave this directive in a meeting with a delegation of battery-operated rickshaw drivers, owners, garage owners and rickshaw-van-easybike workers union at the DMP headquarters on Wednesday (November 27).
