The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case in the name of Mamunur Rashid (Kiran) and his wife Jasmine Akhter, a member of the Noakhali-1 (Begamganj) constituency on charges of acquiring non-income assets and suspicious transactions.
The case was filed against them at the district office of the ACC on Thursday. Deputy Director of the Public Relations Department of the Commission Aktarul Islam told reporters.
Aktarul said that Mamunur Rashid (Kiran), a former parliamentarian of Noakhali-1 (Begamganj) constituency, has been accused of abusing power and acquiring about Tk. At the same time, more than 22 banks in the name of his own name and owned business organization, more than 26 crore 1 lakh suspicious transactions have been obtained.
Aktarul also said that Jasmine Akhter, wife of Mamunur Rashid, has achieved inconsistent assets with the influence of Akhter's husband and financial support of Tk.
In this case, both of them have filed cases against the ACC law, money laundering law and the Anti -Corruption Prevention Act.
