A press release from the organization has informed that the main goal of 'TAAD' is an organization representing the rights, interests and demands, welfare, expansion of mutual relations, development of artistic skills of the theater artists involved in the theater practice of Dhaka city. The initiative to form 'Theatre Artists Association of Dhaka' has been taken from that urge.
The organization states that it is in no way conflicting with theater groups or any organization consisting of theater groups. It is only an organization of individuals. Any dramatist (actor, director, dramatist, designer, backstage artist) who has been involved in regular theater practice for at least five years in Dhaka city can apply to become a member of this organization. Here each member can join as a single person. He may or may not represent a theater group. But he must be associated with some work related to the theater of Dhaka metropolis.
