The Directorate of Health has informed the updated information about dengue at around 8 pm today.
According to the information of the Directorate, out of the 5 people who died in 24 hours, two were admitted in Barisal Division, three each in Dhaka South City Corporation, Mymensingh Division and Dhaka Division. Among them two are men and three are women.
77 thousand 127 patients have been admitted to the hospital this year. Among them, 72,500 patients have returned home with clearance. A total of 384 people died during the year.
The maximum number of patients have been admitted in different hospitals of Dhaka North City Corporation area in 24 hours till 8 am today Thursday. 267 patients were admitted in this region.
Analyzing the data of the Department of Health, it has been found that the number of dengue cases in the country has been increasing since July this year. 2 thousand 669 people were infected with dengue in that month. In the next month, the number of dengue cases increased to 6 thousand 521. In September, the number of dengue cases increased almost 3 times to 18 thousand 97.
Among them, 30 thousand 879 people were infected with dengue in October. 135 dengue patients died during that month. And 15 thousand 310 people were admitted to the hospital this month. And 81 dengue patients died.
It should be noted that in the history of Bangladesh, the highest number of dengue infections and deaths occurred last year. At that time 3 lakh 21 thousand 179 people were infected with dengue and admitted to the hospital. 1 thousand 705 people died.
