3 people died in fire in Keraniganj


Dhaka: Three people died in a fire in a shop in Keraniganj, Dhaka. 10 more people were injured.

The victims were not identified.

The incident took place on Saturday (October 5) around 7 pm at the Ramerkanda boarding area of ​​Keraniganj. Two units of Keraniganj Fire Service Station brought the fire under control after trying for about two hours.

Officer of Keraniganj Fire Service Station. Kajol said that they went to the spot after receiving information about the fire in the food shop at Ramerkanda boarding area at 7:15 pm. Two units tried to douse the fire for about two hours.

He further said that the fire had spread to two other shops nearby. Most of the three shops were burnt down. Three people died and eight people were injured in the incident.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Keraniganj Model Police Station Sohrab Hossain said that three people died in the fire due to gas cylinder explosion in the food shop. However, their identities have not been identified. Attempts are being made to identify them.
