Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma On Rahul Gandhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, comparing him to an “unguided missile” and requested former Congress President Sonia Gandhi to train him. Sharma, BJP's election co-in-charge for Jharkhand, expressed concern over the security of tribal communities in the state, claiming that they face a more serious threat than the tribal communities of Manipur.
Sarma said, “I urge Sonia Gandhi to train Rahul Gandhi as an uncontrolled missile becomes directionless.” He accused Rahul of trying to divide tribal communities, Dalits and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
'The condition of tribal communities in Jharkhand is worse than Manipur'
Assam CM told reporters that the tribal population in Manipur is increasing while in Jharkhand it is decreasing due to large-scale infiltration. He said, “The condition of tribal communities in Jharkhand is worse than Manipur. Rahul Gandhi never visited infiltration affected areas like Bhognadih and Gabathan.”
Sarma said, “No one takes Rahul Gandhi seriously. Our election agenda is focused on the exploitation of 'Mati, Beti, Roti' by the JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) led alliance in Jharkhand.”
'Rahul Gandhi is anti-tribal and anti-OBC'
On Rahul Gandhi's allegations of BJP calling tribals as “forest dwellers”, Sharma said, “We consider tribal communities as tribals. BJP leaders always use the word tribal with respect.”
Sarma wrote on the social media platform Gandhi is anti-tribal and anti-OBC.” Assembly elections in Jharkhand will be held on 13 and 20 November and counting of votes will take place on 23 November.
