The National Citizen Committee and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement are approaching the political parties on the issue of the removal of the President, the annulment of the Constitution and the Proclamation of the Second Republic. The leaders of both the organizations have been running for the last few days to discuss with different parties. In continuation of this, a meeting of the National Citizen Committee and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement was held on Sunday (October 27) from 4:00 pm with 12 party alliances.
National Citizen Committee Political Affairs Secretary Ariful Islam Adeeb said that while the president's removal is in principle agreed, the process will continue to be discussed. The issue of repeal of the constitution and proclamation of the Second Republic was discussed.
The National Citizen Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will continue continuous discussions with various political parties to create national unity on these issues. The two organizations have already held meetings with several parties including BNP, Islami Andolan, Jamaat.
In the meeting held at the office of Mustafa Jamal Haider of the 12-party alliance in the capital on Sunday, Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam, Arif Sohail, Umama Fatema, Abdul Hannan Masood, Naseeruddin Patwari, Samantha Sharmin, Ariful Islam Adeeb were present on behalf of the anti-discrimination student movement.

The leaders of the 12-party alliance told the Bengali Tribune that today's meeting was bittersweet. One of the issues that the student leaders are seeking consensus on is the removal of the president. And in this case, the 12-party alliance has said that although they have no weakness or sympathy for the president, his removal at this moment may cause a constitutional crisis. This can lead to various problems.
The current Nobel laureate Dr. The alliance leaders referred to the statements of two advisers of the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. The alliance feels that there is a need to get on the electoral train with speedy reforms.
Shahadat Hossain Salim, spokesperson of the 12-party alliance, told the Bengali Tribune on Sunday evening, “Our alliance has no sympathy for the president. We fear many problems if the president is removed at this moment. In the meeting we told the student leaders that it will be a difficult task to build a complete national consensus on this issue. At the same time, we agree with the role of BNP.
Bangladesh LDP Chairman Shahadat Hossain Salim added in this context, no decision can be made excluding BNP.
Incidentally, the leaders of the National Citizen Committee and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement are scheduled to meet with the Democracy Forum on Sunday.
