In Marchula of Salt development block of Almora district in Uttarakhand, a bus filled with passengers went out of control and fell into a 150 feet deep gorge. 36 people, including 27 passengers from Pauri Garhwal, were killed in the accident. While 27 are injured.
Five main reasons for the bus accident are emerging. However, the investigation team of the Transport Headquarters is still investigating in depth, after the report of which the concrete reasons will become clear.
To investigate the bus accident in Marchula, the Transport Headquarters had suspended ARTO Enforcement Pauri and ARTO Enforcement Ramnagar on the instructions of the CM. On Monday itself, an investigation team headed by Deputy Transport Commissioner Rajeev Mehra was sent to the spot, which is still engaged in investigation. Based on the information received from eyewitnesses, the department prima facie found five reasons for the accident.
