Bangladesh LDP demands elections by next June


Newly elected chairman of Bangladesh LDP Shahadat Hossain Salim called for announcement of election roadmap by December this year and voting by next June. He said that various conspiracies are going on. Many people today are dreaming that they will come to power by creating a constitutional crisis. We will not let that dream become a reality.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the representative meeting of Bangladesh LDP at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Sunday (October 27) morning.

A new committee of 5 members of Bangladesh LDP was announced in the meeting. Shahadat Hossain Salim is the chairman, Syed Ibrahim Rawanak is the senior vice chairman, Tamiz Uddin Tito is the secretary general, MA Basar is the additional secretary general, Mohinuddin Ahmed is the senior joint secretary.

Shahadat Hossain Salim announced the committee of Bangladesh LDP with his permission as the previous chairman of the party, Abdul Karim Abbasi, was ill for a long time. Abdul Karim Abbasi has been retained as chief advisor.

Calling on the interim government, Shahadat Hossain Salim said that reforms are an ongoing process. As long as the state exists, this reform will continue. You will not take much time in the name of reforms. We want a free and fair election as soon as possible. Otherwise we will be forced to take to the streets.

Under the chairmanship of Senior Vice Chairman of Bangladesh LDP Syed Ibrahim Rawonak, Advisor to BNP Chairperson Zainul Abdin Farooq, Secretary General of Jamiat Ulamae Islam Bangladesh Mufti Golam Mohiuddin Ikram, Chairman of Alternative Movement Bangladesh Professor Nurul Amin Bepari, Chairman of Labor Party Lion Mohammad Farooq Rahman, Secretary General of Islami Oikyazot Maulana were also present. Abdul Karim, Kalyan Party Chairman Shamsuddin Parvez, Progressive Nationalist Party Chairman Firoz Md. Lytton.
