A. Mass resistance should be built against the League, BNP's Salahuddin said in the Jamaat meeting


BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said that some claim that Awami League is a traditional party. But their heritage is establishment of one-party tyranny in the country, murder, terror-anarchy and vote stealing. On October 28, they beat people to death on the streets in a logi-baitha rampage. So mass resistance should be built against them.

He said these things at the 'meeting and exchange of views with the proud members of the families of martyrs in the coup, documentary exhibition' organized at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon of the capital on Sunday (October 27). Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized the meeting in Dhaka Metropolitan North.

Jamaat Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “The martyrs of the August Revolution are national heroes. Their sacrifice for the country and nation cannot be erased in any way. So the state should provide proper respect for them.'

Nayeb Amir Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said, 'The leaders of the massacre and their accomplices have fled to India. Bring them back to the country and ensure trial and exemplary punishment. Not only individuals should be tried, but Awami League as a party and its organization should be banned immediately.'

Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, 'The names of the martyrs of our August Revolution will be written in golden letters on the pages of history. They will be rewarded in this world and the hereafter.'

Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, 'On October 28, 2006, a brutal killing was carried out on the orders of Sheikh Hasina. Therefore, they should be given an exemplary punishment by ensuring their trial.'

In the president's speech, Dhaka Metropolitan North Jamaat Amir Mohammad Salim Uddin said, 'Awami fascists have killed 57 army officers and numerous clerics and tortured national leaders through mirroring. He called for the trial of the martyrs Abu Saeed and Mochad and their declaration as national heroes.

Members of the diplomatic corps, heads of various political parties, leaders of various social and professional organizations and family members of those killed in different areas of the capital from October 28 to August 5, 2006 and half a thousand people who lost limbs were present in the exchange meeting.

This event was held in three sessions. Family members of the martyrs and national leaders spoke from 10 am on Sunday till 1.30 pm. The documentary exhibition was inaugurated at 1.30 pm. Cultural program starts from 3 pm. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Amir Professor Mujibur Rahman was the chief guest at the cultural event.

12 party alliance leaders, former minister Mustafa Jamal Haider, secretary general of LDP and former minister Dr. Redwan Ahmad, Secretary General of Khilafat Majlis. Ahmad Abdul Quader, NPP chairman Fariduzzaman Farhad, anti-discrimination student movement coordinator SM Farhad, Bangladesh Labor Party chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Member Secretary of People's Rights Council Farooq Hasan, Spokesperson of National Democratic Party (JAGPA) Rashed Pradhan, Member Secretary of People's Rights Council (Nur) Rashed Khan, Jamaat Central Executive Council member Saiful Alam Khan Milon.
