Incidentally, student protests started in Bangladesh in July. Sheikh Hasina was ousted from power on August 5 due to the popular uprising demanding the reform of job quotas. On that day he left Bangladesh and moved to India. Since then, one case after another has been filed against Hasina.
According to Bangladeshi media reports, 225 cases including 194 murder cases have been filed against Hasina so far. 16 of these are cases of genocide. A case has been filed against him in the International Criminal Tribunal. This court issued arrest warrants against Hasina and 45 people including Awami League leaders, ministers and MPs this month. They have also been ordered to appear before the court by November 18.
This time, a murder inquiry report has been ordered against the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and 23 others. According to Bangladesh media reports, a murder case was filed against Hasina in connection with the death of an 18-year-old student in Dhaka's Mirpur area during the mass movement. In that case, the Additional Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka ordered to submit the investigation report by November 28. It should be noted that the student's grandfather filed this case against Hasina on August 15. He claimed that Hasina, Awami League leader and former minister Obaidur Quader, Anisul Haque, former IGP Abdullah Al-Mamun and others were directly involved in the death of that student and others.
