Kings lost with Saad's suicide goal

At the beginning of the AFC Challenge League, Bashundhara Kings had to lose to Lebanon's Nezmeh with a suicide goal.

Saad Uddin has sunk the national team before in defending. Even today, Kings had to lose 1-0 because of his mistake.

Nezmeh scored a free kick outside the box in the 49th minute after a goalless first half at Thimpur's Changlimithang Stadium. Saad wanted to clear the head himself without letting the back forward touch the head of Korani Hasan's shot. That ball Anisur Rahman shocked Zico into the net.

Even though Nezmeh dominated from the start of the match, Kings also created chances. Before that, goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Nezmehar turned away Bilal Sabbagh's shot at the beginning.

Then Faisal Ahmed got a chance to give the Kings the lead. But Nezmeh defender returned his shot from the goal line. After the throw in, Faisal got the ball in the left side of the box. But his shot could not cross the line of defenders standing on the goal line.

Jonathan Fernandez's shot went wide of the post at the start of the second half. Valery Grishin's shot is also off target after falling behind. After 80 minutes, Miguel Figueira came off and the Kings increased their lead in the game. But Valerio Tita's team did not get the goal to equalize.

The two other teams in the group played in Thimphu on the day. Paro FC held Oscar Brujon's East Bengal 2-2. Kings will next face East Bengal on October 29. Where their former coach Brujon will be in the dugout.
