Barcelona crushed Mbappé's Real

Kylian Mbappe could not do anything great in the most important match of his football career when he stepped into Real Madrid. France's World Cup-winning captain's first El Clasico was a goal celebration for Barcelona. Robert Lewandowski netted twice to end Mbappe's Clásico debut in disappointment. Barcelona crushed Real 4-0 on Saturday.

Lewandowski scored two goals in three minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu after a scoreless first half. In the 54th minute, the Polish striker rattled the net from a great pass from young teammate Marc Casado. Heade's second goal three minutes later silenced the Bernabeu stadium. After scoring the 16th and 17th goals of the season, the goalpost stood in the way of his hat-trick.

Lamine Yamal made the score 3-0 in the 77th minute. The 17-year-old star beat goalkeeper Andriy Lunin with a cross to become the youngest goalscorer in the Clasico. Rafinha then joined Barca's goal celebration. Real became desperate for a goal, and the Brazilian forward easily got the ball in the 84th minute and headed it over Lunin's head.

Mbappe ended the first match against Barcelona in a white jersey in disappointment. And German coach Hansi Flick made the first Clásico memorable.

After 11 matches in La Liga, Barca increased the points gap with Real to six. They consolidated the top spot with 30 points, giving the defending champions a bitter taste of their first defeat of the season. Madrid club with 24 points.
