Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader said that the Awami League has fallen because of the success of the anti-discrimination student movement. But after the success of this anti-discrimination student movement, new discrimination has started in the country. Injustice is being done by false cases in the name of Jatiya Party leaders.
He said these things while attending a separate discussion meeting with Jatiya Party online workers and leaders of Dhaka Divisional District in the auditorium of Jatiya Party Chairman Banani's office on Saturday (October 26) noon.
GM Quader said, Jatiya Party has officially supported and actively participated in the students' movement as soon as the anti-discrimination student movement started. However, Jatiya Party leaders are being harassed with false cases in the case of students killed in the anti-discrimination student movement. We will not accept this injustice.
He said that at least 33 leaders and workers of the Jatiya Party have been accused in 11 false cases in Rangpur due to their participation in the anti-discrimination student movement. Many of them were arrested and jailed. 2 Jatiya Party leaders were martyred in Rangpur by participating in the anti-discrimination movement. Jatiya Party also took an active part in the anti-discrimination movement in the capital.
Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader also said that the people of the country are suffering a lot. Commodity prices are uncontrolled, the problem of unemployment has increased. People of the country are suffering from insecurity. We want to give the interim government reasonable time to reform, so that they can deliver not just an acceptable election, but a changed state structure and reformed governance. But the government must ensure the safety of people's lives and food and clothing during this period.
