Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the anti-discrimination student movement, told reporters after a meeting at the office of the BNPAR Chairperson in Gulshan on Saturday (October 26).

He said, we called for Jatiya Oikya on 23rd, those pro-democracy political parties, who brought down the fascist Sheikh Hasina under our leadership. Now another obstacle to the complete abolition of fascism stands before us, the removal of silence. As you know, we have been talking with the established political parties of the country for the last two days regarding the issue of new political settlement. Today we discussed with BNP. There we mainly discussed three issues. First of all, we talked about how we are going to declare our Second Republic…Proclamation of the Republic, how to do it. Secondly, we talked about how we can do the removal of Chuppur in a very quick time and how to impose political consensus on it, how to avoid any kind of crisis. Thirdly, we talked about how to manage and continue this government while maintaining national unity.

BNP will inform about today's talk later, he said, they have heard all our words. They got our message, they will talk in their forum.

Continual talks are going on with all the political parties and the parties have given the same opinion, Hasnat Abdullah said, “In the last two days, we sat with Jamaat along with BNP. We have spoken with them. We have talked with the Islamic movement. We also talked about these issues with them. From the place of Jamaat, they expressed their agreement on this matter. They have already made their point clear that Chuppur is no longer acceptable from a moral point of view. The Islamic movement also said the same thing. They want a quiet transition on the basis of national unity as soon as possible. Tomorrow, Sunday, we have a meeting with the Democracy Forum and the 12-party alliance, the People's Rights Council. We will continue this conversation. To establish national unity, which has already been established after August 5, how to sustainably build a new Bangladesh. Where the system of fascism will be completely abolished and how to proceed towards it.
