New Delhi. Star wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan made a big record in the third test match against England. Rizwan has become the fastest Pakistani wicketkeeper to score 2000 test runs. He achieved this feat on the second day of the Rawalpindi Test match. The teams of Pakistan and England are facing each other in the third and last test match of the series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Rizwan made a big record in just 57 innings. He broke the record of Sarfaraz Ahmed who had touched the mark of 2000 Test runs in 59 innings.

Mohammad Rizwan has been an important member of Pakistan's ODI and T20 team for the last few years. But he has been struggling for his place in the Test team. He needed 16 runs before this match to touch the mark of 2000 Test runs. After the dismissal of captain Shan Masood, Rizwan came to the crease. As soon as he arrived, he showed his intention by hitting a six over deep midwicket off Jack Leach. However, he could not last long in front of Rehan Ahmed.

Rehan sent Rizwan to the pavilion on the score of 25.
Rizwan scored 25 runs in 46 balls before being out LBW on the ball of Rehan Ahmed. Which included one four and one six. Spinner Rehan Ahmed could not play in the first two test matches. The England team brought him in the third test where the wicket suited the spinners. Pakistan scored 344 runs in the first innings. England had scored 267 runs in the first innings. By the end of the second day's play, England lost 3 wickets for 24 runs in the second innings. He is 53 runs behind Pakistan's first innings.

Rizwan's test career
Mohammad Rizwan, who made his Test debut in 2016, has scored 2009 runs in 35 Test matches. During this period his batting average has been 41.85. He has scored three centuries in Tests. His best score has been 171 runs unbeaten. Which he played against Bangladesh under the captaincy of Nazmul Hussain Shanto in Rawalpindi in August 2024. Pakistan made a comeback in the second test after losing the first test by an innings. Rizwan has scored 99 runs in this three-match series.
