Chandpur: Maulana Billal Hossain Miyaji has been elected as the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami's Chandpur district branch by direct vote of the members (RUCON) for the upcoming 2025-26 session.
Recently, this polling was held in Chandpur District Jamaat's Annual Members (RUCON) conference.
The results of the polls were announced at the central working council meeting on Thursday (October 24). Male and female Rookans vote by direct and secret ballot.
This information was informed in a message signed by Matiur Rahman Akand, Secretary of Publicity and Media Department of Jamaat-e-Islami Central Committee.
All the elections of the Jamaat are held in a democratic manner. The person with the highest number of votes is elected. According to the organization's constitution, there is no candidate for the leadership election. Any aspirant is considered ineligible.
Maulana Billal Hussain Miazi has already served as Naib Amir of Chandpur District Jamaat, District Secretary, District Office Secretary and Amir of Chandpur City Jamaat. Before this, he served as Chandpur district president and secretary of Chhatra Shibir.
He is a teacher by profession. He sought everyone's prayers and cooperation in carrying out the assigned duties properly.
