20 people were injured in the clashes in Kasbay Jashan

At least 20 people were injured in the clash between the two sides over the obstruction of the procession to mark the holy Eid of Miladunnabi (PBUH) in the Kasba of Brahmanbaria. On Monday (September 16), clashes broke out at several points including the Kadmatoli junction in the city from morning to noon.

The police and the locals said that this morning, the jousting processions that came out on the occasion of the holy Eid Miladunnabi (PBUH) entered Kasba town on the initiative of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat. At that time, Hefajat Islam prevented it. Tension spread between both sides. At one point, people from both sides clashed. At least 20 people were injured. Later, members of the police and army and other law enforcement agencies came and brought the situation under control.
