Own party turned against, survey shows bad defeat in elections; Double blow on Justin Trudeau

Even in Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seems to be under siege amid strained relations with India. It is reported that the leaders of Trudeau's party have opened a front against him and are demanding his removal from the post. However, in the current situation, there does not appear to be any threat to Trudeau's captaincy. The special thing is that in a recently released research poll, the Liberal Party seems to be lagging far behind the Conservatives.

According to media reports, some Liberal MLAs are blaming Trudeau for the poor performance in the elections. The figures of Nanos Research Poll released on October 15 itself show that the Conservatives have 39 percent public support. Whereas, in the case of Liberals this number is 23 percent. At the same time, New Democrats seem to be getting 21 percent public support. If the results remain the same, the Conservatives can easily win a majority.

Elections are scheduled to be held in Canada by the end of October 2025. Here, Trudeau is continuously insisting that he will lead the Liberals in the next elections also.

It is reported that 24 out of 153 MLAs of the party have written a letter demanding Trudeau's removal. Wayne Long, a party MLA, says the Conservatives can be defeated if the party gets a new leader. He also blamed rising prices for the housing crisis on Trudeau. In fact, after losing two major parliamentary seats in June and September, the anger of the leaders against Trudeau started rising.

Why can't Trudeau be removed?

Despite all efforts, it is not easy to remove Trudeau. In Canada, a special convention is held to elect party leaders, where members choose the leader.
