Mumbai Police has arrested an accused from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand for sending threatening messages to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The accused has been identified as a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur. Let us tell you that last week a threatening message was received on the WhatsApp helpline of Mumbai Traffic Police demanding Rs 5 crore from the actor, after which the police registered a case and started investigation. Mumbai Police investigated the matter with the help of local police of Jamshedpur and on Wednesday, the person who sent the message was arrested.

Officials gave information

After the arrest, the police officer said that Mumbai Police tracked the number receiving threatening messages in Jharkhand and teams were sent to nab the accused. He told that another team had gone to Guwahati. Officials said on Tuesday that the police spread the net to trace the sender of the message, but Mumbai Traffic Police received messages from the same mobile phone number from the man apologizing after the threat. It was written in the message that this happened by mistake.

The actor is receiving continuous threats

It is noteworthy that actor Salman Khan had earlier received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Suspected gang members had opened fire outside the actor's Bandra house in April this year. A few months ago, Navi Mumbai Police had uncovered a plot by the Bishnoi gang to kill Khan, following which the actor's security was increased.
