Earlier in August 2023, Zomato had introduced a platform fee of Rs 2 for the first time with an aim to strengthen its efforts to increase profit margins. Later this fee was increased to Rs 3. On January 1 this year, the platform fee was increased to Rs 4. Let us tell you that in the financial year 2023, Zomato had recorded an order volume of Rs 64.7 crore. An increase of Re 1 in its fee structure can generate additional revenue of Rs 65 crore annually.
